Welcome

Vivienne Alcantar (she/her) is a creative multimedia storyteller and nonprofit arts leader working across audio, illustration, and community-based education. Her practice explores the intersections of sound, image, and narrative as tools for collective growth, social change, and creative expression.

She brings over five years of experience designing and facilitating programs that center the voices of historically underrepresented and marginalized communities — previously at Women’s Audio Mission, San Francisco Opera, YR Media (fka Youth Radio), and now, BAYCAT.

As an audio producer, Vivienne’s work has aired on KPFA and major streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Notably, she also co-created, co-hosted, and engineered the podcast, Baby Talk, which explored women, gender, and sexuality through the lens of pop culture—from movies and television to social media phenomena—bringing depth and humor to cultural critique.

In addition to her audio work, Vivienne’s illustrations have been featured in arts and literary magazines and used in service of grassroots organizations and each of the arts organizations she has worked with, creating graphics and digital assets that amplify community stories and initiatives.

Whether through producing a podcast, illustrating, or designing curriculum, Vivienne’s work is rooted in equity, community, and a deep belief in the arts as a tool for social change.

Vivienne is available for freelance illustration, audio editing, and podcast production upon request. Please email viviennesalcantar@gmail.com for more information.
